Holderness Presbyterian House

With the establishment of the Holderness Presbyterian House, Presbyterian Campus Ministry of Greensboro (PCM) is in a position to better serve the students of UNCG and Greensboro College.  The house is a place of hospitality for those who are seeking a supportive, welcoming Christian community on campus.

The house also offers the opportunity for intentional Christian community through residential living.  Up to 4 students, active in the ministry, will have the opportunity of living in the house.  This will give students the opportunity to immerse themselves in a faith community as they study and serve the community together.

The Holderness Presbyterian House is also part of a vision to create a more sustainable model of funding for campus ministry. Rental revenue will go to cover the cost of short and long-term maintenance associated with the house.  In addition, the ministry will be able to further invest in student scholarships for mission and service.  This will allow for a more diversified funding base to support this growing ministry.

The house will provide a physical location to the ministry that is accessible and welcoming to students.  It will provide space for small groups, fellowship meals, and a study for the campus minister.

We are grateful for the support of Mrs. Adelaide Holderness and her family for the $75,000 gift that is making this project a reality.  We are also grateful to those individuals, groups, and congregations that has sponsored individual rooms in the house (See the “donate” page for more information and a list of donors).

We are still seeking individuals and congregations to sponsor rooms in the house.  A list of sponsorship opportunities is on the Donor Information page.  We invite you to give prayerful consideration to helping us complete this new home for Presbyterian Campus Ministry of Greensboro.
